The Common

The land known as Hartley Wood Common (or sometimes Hartley Wespall common) is common land, registered on 13th February 1968 by the Registration Authority without application, and being undisputed became final on  1st October 1970.
No application was made in 1965 to comply with the new act, but as it had been previously registered under the Land registration Acts of 1925 and 1936 the Registration Authority acted without application.
The lack of a local application does mean that no commoners were registered so all commoners rights have been lost.

The 2000 Countryside Rights of Way permits access for walking only.
