What the Parish Council Does

The Hartley Wespall Parish Council comprises 5 members. Parish Council meetings are usually held 4 times a year in order to discuss issues affecting the village and its residents. These meetings are open to Parishioners who wish to raise questions, comments and contributions of interest to the Parish. An Annual General Meeting is held in the summer, to which all residents are welcome to attend to hear reports from the Council.

Parish Council elections are held every four years, and were last held in 2016.  Any vacancies that arise between elections are filled either by holding a by-election or by co-option.

The Parish Council appoints a Clerk to the Council who handles day to day activities.
